Kholoud Nasser is a theatre artist from Lebanon. She moved to the Bay Area in 2014 in order to pursue an MA in Drama Therapy from California Institute of Integral Studies after enjoying 16 years of experience as a theatre artist back home. Her work was focused on performing, writing, directing, and producing. She has been specifically distinguished in her solo performances.
Now, Kholoud works as an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist and Drama Therapist at the Living Arts Counseling Center where she works with a wide array of populations, as well as working with Arab domestic violence survivors at the Asian Women’s Shelter. Kholoud is seasoned to work on trauma, on loss and on immigration issues using a social justice lens.
Her therapy approach brings the fusion of creativity, safety and healing. Joining the Living Arts Playback Theatre Ensemble, Kholoud is exploring the interesting mix between the theatrical and the therapeutic worlds on stage, which inspires her to create more of this integration in her future theatre projects.
