Christine Kalb

Actor, Founding Member, Playback Instructor

Christine “got bit” by the improvisational theater bug when she took her first improv class with Armand Volkas in 1987. A few years later, when Armand began introducing Playback Theatre forms and philosophy into his improv workshops and performances, Christine became a founding member of what is now the Living Arts Playback Theatre Ensemble.

She has taught numerous improv and Playback workshops to kids and adults throughout her Living Arts Playback career and plans to continue her Playback life for the foreseeable future. She places great value on the Playback Theatre form not only for the family-like relationships and community-building it engenders, but also for its potential to enhance one’s ability to empathize as the threads of shared personal stories interweave our human connections.
